Citrus

Citrus, the note to end all summer notes. Combining juicy notes of many succulently zesty fruits, the scent is unrivalled in providing a refreshing touch to your fragrance.

Hailing from all over the world, the citrus family is made up of all kinds of fruits, beyond the usual lemon and orange. Its composition includes yuzu, grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin and more. Certain areas are more popular for harvesting specific citrus fruits than others, such as sweet orange from Brazil, lemon from Sicily, grapefruit from California, lime from Florida and bergamot from Calabria.

Two citrus fruits distinctly popular in Asia are calamansi and yuzu. Native to the Philippines, calamansi has become a staple in the Asian continent. It’s scent and taste is unique, somewhere between the traditional lime and orange, with the trademark refreshing tartness of citrus. The Japanese yuzu, on the other hand, is famed for being fiercely aromatic. It is like the lovechild of lime and grapefruit.
