Synaesthesia explained

Synaesthesia explained - Oo La Lab

Synaesthesia is a neurological condition where a blending of senses means that incoming sensory information intended for one sense may actually stimulate another sense or even several other senses. ‘Synesthete’ as these special beings are called may actually be able to hear colours, feel sounds and taste shapes.

It is believed that infants may actually have a natural tendency towards synaesthesia and that the compartmentalising of our senses may actually be a function of education.

Even at a most basic level us humans make connections between things like colours and scents, so synaesthesia is definitely a skill worth cultivating.
