Lost in Sight

I wish I was blind, like Helen Keller
Untouched by distractions of a modern world
Cast aside by the hum of visual noise

I wish I could feel more deeply
In empty distractions I long
For the simplicity of an unseeing eye

I shut my eyes and find
In this blindness, a clarity
Lost in sight
