Salty Tears

Salty Tears

In the heat of the moment beneath a scorching sun,
We throw salt over a shoulder, think we've won.

Adding flavour to our tales, tall and sickly sweet,
Dry eyes blinking, batting on heavy repeat.

The world heats up, dry stories unwind,
Salt on our lips, sadness is blind.

Tears stream down, a salty slick,
Truth lies at the end of a needle prick.
